Charmel grew up in the Philippines and is based in Sydney, Australia. The second of three sisters, she had strong women that influenced much of her life, as her mother and six aunts are mostly teachers. As a young woman, she worked in the family business exporting handicrafts.
Her professional background is in Information Technology and is a senior consultant for digital transformation projects for top-tier organizations in the Philippines and Australia. An investor for over 20 years, she is fascinated with oil as a traded commodity and invests in stocks and options. She studied advanced trading courses at Van Tharp Institute and completed her Masters in Business Administration at the Australian Catholic University with honors.
